Meet Greg – Founder, Designer & Craftsman

I started WoodMines over ten years ago with one clear aim: to build strong, beautiful garden structures that feel like they truly belong in your outdoor space. From the beginning, I wanted to create gazebos that weren’t just built for a summer, but for years of enjoyment & structures that become part of the garden rather than an add-on.

WoodMines began with just myself and a small workshop, and over time it has grown into a company known for quality craftsmanship and genuine care in what we build. Even now, every design you see from WoodMines has been created by me. Nothing copied, nothing off the shelf & just original work shaped by years of experience, problem-solving and a real passion for timber craftsmanship.

I’ve spent a lot of time refining every detail of our structures to make sure they’re solid, reliable and built with purpose. That’s why our roof frames are made from C24 graded timber, a high-quality, kiln-dried softwood known for strength, durability and its clean, tight grain. It’s exactly the kind of timber you want for something that needs to last.

At WoodMines, nothing is rushed. We cut all the timbers ourselves, prepare every component in-house and pre-build every roof frame in the workshop. Each frame is fully test fitted, photographed and checked over before it ever reaches your garden. It’s a level of transparency and care that sets us apart, and it’s one of the reasons our builds go together so smoothly.

Once everything is ready, your structure is carefully packed and delivered by our own driver, not a courier-so we can make sure it arrives the way it left the workshop.

Every gazebo we make is crafted with attention to detail and a genuine sense of pride. My goal has always been simple: to build outdoor structures that stand the test of time and are admired for the thought, skill and craftsmanship that go into them.
