4m x 5m Timber Gazebo with Roof Lantern-Appley Bridge, Wigan
Here's one of our latest timber gazebo projects. A 4m x 5m gazebo, built with substantial 200mm posts, a 6 x 3 frame, a roof lantern and a corner entrance.
This particular gazebo was supplied and fitted by us, and the whole structure was completed in just one day.
How did we complete it in a day?
A big part of this comes down to the preparation we do in our workshop before the gazebo goes to site. The gazebo is supplied as a prepared kit, with the roof structure pre-built already in the workshop prior to installation. We also test-fit the boards in the workshop, so everything has been checked before it leaves us. We then take the roof structure apart, ready for delivery as a kit or installation in site.
This means a lot of the preparation has already been done before we arrive on site. The roof structure is ready to be installed, the boards have been test fitted and everything has been checked in the workshop, allowing us to concentrate on the installation itself.
The same process is used for our DIY gazebo kits too, so when your timber arrives, you're not starting with everything from scratch.
For this gazebo, the customer chose 200mm posts with a 6 x 3 frame, giving the structure a really solid and substantial feel.
The roof lantern also brings plenty of natural light into the covered area, while the corner entrance gives the gazebo a more open feel and makes it easy to use as an outdoor seating or entertaining space.
The result is a large, practical covered area that can be enjoyed whatever the weather.
Although we fitted this particular gazebo, the pre-build process we use in our workshop is also the way we prepare our DIY gazebo structures.
Preparing the timber before it leaves the workshop means the customer isn't starting with a pile of timber and trying to work everything out from scratch.
The aim is to make the assembly as straightforward as possible once everything arrives.
For anyone considering building their own gazebo, this can make a huge difference – particularly when you're working with a larger structure.
Thinking about a timber gazebo?
Every garden and every project is different, so there isn't necessarily a one-size-fits-all gazebo.
The size, post dimensions, frame, entrance and roof options can all make a difference to the finished structure.
If you're thinking about a timber gazebo for your garden, whether you're looking for a structure we can fit or something you can build yourself, we're happy to talk through the options and help you work out what would suit your space.
This 4m x 5m project is a good example of what can be achieved when the planning and preparation is done before the timber reaches site.
